In This Essay I Will Compare A Few Of The Major Points

In this essay I will compare a few of the major points in Christian theology from church fathers from before the Reformation, Pierre Abelard, St. Francis of Assisi, Augustine of Hippo, and Pelagius, with those of modern Christian theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer . This essay will discuss the thought before and after the Reformation on how and why people sin. Next, it will discuss idea of free will and how the church fathers and philosophers agree or disagree on the topic. Lastly, I will compare the notion of unification of religion before the Reformation with the disconnection from religion that Bonhoeffer proposes with his theory of â€Å"religionless Christianity.† These points include a combination of topics including grace, intention, and†¦show more content†¦Once that was mostly established, many, like Pierre Abelard went on to think about how or why people sin. Do people sin by choice or are people completely helpless when it comes to resisting temptation. Abela rd thought believed that sin is subjective. Sin is inside us all and, and although we choose to give into sinful desires, it is through divine grace that we seek out the love of Jesus. It is not the sin itself but the intention in the heart of the person committing an act that could be considered sin under certain circumstances. If a person kills another person, it is not the act of killing that is a sin but the intent behind the killing. If the killing was an accident or self-defense it is different from maliciously committing murder, or intending to kill another person. St. Francis of Assisi would say that sin is objective: the act of sin without knowingly or deliberately committing the sin. Intention has no part in whether or not an act is considered. Sin is sin regardless of intent. With the legacy of St. Francis’ ministry, the order called â€Å"The friars†, it seems that St. Francis was more concerned with good works as a means of salvation. However, works would mean nothing if there was not good intent behind them. Dietrich Bonhoeffer believes we are not judged by our works, but are saved by grace. Compare/Contrast Shakespeare and Marlowe - 1029 Words

Literary Essay Compare/Contrast Shakespeare and Marlowe William Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe were both writers of the Elizabethan stage, living in the same town of London, at the same time, and they wrote plays while working with the same people. Their strongest similarity was in their work. They both had an innate ability to write about love, great tragedies, comedies, drama and poetry with a similar style called blank verse. Before Marlowe’s time, blank verse was not an accepted verse for drama, but he was able to substitute the regular stresses of earlier blank verses and created a more departed, sincere verse. Shakespeare used his personal observation and experiences to understand human nature. He had amore objective view of reality than Marlow e did. When we compare some of Marlowe’s tragedies with those of Shakespeare’s we discover several more similarities. Both Marlowe and Shakespeare create their hero’s as tragic heroes with some sort of flaw in their character that eventually causes their demise, a demise that would cause feelings of pity for the hero. One difference in the two writers is that Shakespeare liked to use the supernatural to enhance the sense of mystery, for example the witches in Macbeth or the ghost in Hamlet. Where as Marlowe’s tragedies had no such mystery and one could follow the course of the events and foresee the tragic doom without much difficulty. The two writers also differed when it came to some of their development of characters. Shakespeare was far superior to Marlowe in the developing the internal and spiritual conflict in the minds of his heroes. Shakespeare’s Hamlet and Macbeth for example are far more well rounded individuals than those in Marlowe’s writings. Also it should be noted that Shakespeare was able to supply a lot of secondary characters in his tragedies like Horatio or Kent, as well as several female characters like Cleopatra, Desdemona, Lady Macbeth and others. Advice on International Student Recruitment -myassignmenthelp

Question: Write about theAdvice on International Student Recruitment for Education. Answer: A learning institution must have certain stakeholders for it to learn smoothly. There are very many stakeholders who include the parents, sponsors, religious groups and others. However the main and primary stakeholders are the students. They are the main reason why the learning institution was started in the first place. If there are no students, then there can be no institution. Being the international business officer, as commanded by the international business development manager, I had to come up with an advice on how we can enroll more students as a university before the manager goes to a meeting with the vice chancellor. We needed an addition of 600 more international students from one of the countries. The target country was United States of America. The main point here is that these are not local students, they are international students. A student who takes his/her studies in an international university away from home in a different country must have the resources to do so. A university must have the capital to run itself, so the more the students the higher the stability. The US has a higher per capita income and economic growth. It suggests that most of his citizens live in an above average life. The capital circulation in the country is better compared to other countries in the world. Therefore, when a good image about the university is well accepted in the US, there can be many students coming to the university without more struggles. Even if the students lack capital to go to the US to study, there are very many scholarships programs in the US. These scholarships are even given to students in the other countries why not their own. There is a very high probability that there can be more students enrolling to the university from such a country. Another considering factor is the urge or the weight of education in the country. Not everyone values education, but the US citizens values education. Since they love education, they cant see it as if it is a big deal to go to another country to learn more. They also like adventure which goes in hand with learning. The better the exposure the better the experience. In conclusion, if a good image is well directed to the US citizens, the university can hit their target.

Most readers see her as superficial, shallow and foolish but this outward appearance is Daisys attempt to conceal how she really feels. Nick tells the reader that Daisy purposely tries to avoid her true feelings because she knows about the severe pain that goes along with facing them. Daisy has several conflicts that she holds inside. For instance, she is aware that Tom has a mistress but does not know how to deal with it. Nick does not understand why Daisy is still married to Tom knowing what he does. At one point, Daisy chose to confess her true feelings to Nick. Daisy says that she rather be a foolincapable of and invulnerable to ideas and emotionsand she hopes that her daughter will be a fool also in order to shield her from the pain and suffering that she went through (160). Another conflict that plagues Daisy is her love for Jay Gatsby. Gatsby and Daisy were in love before he left for the war. After finding out that he was gone, Daisy, withdrew from society and vowed never to love again. Then, Daisy met Tom Buchanan and made herself love him. Daisy almost changed her mind about marrying Tom after receiving a letter from Gatsby before her wedding. Daisy later knew that she could not trust him because he had an affair soon after they married and she was pregnant when she found out about it. After a long history and broken hearts and the realization that love leads to emotional distress, Daisys spirits seemed to be lifted after the meeting with Gatsby. This meeting seemed to bring her back from the world of the emotionally dead (163). Fryer Sarah. Critical Essays of F.Scott Fitzgeralds The Great Gatsby. ED. Scott Donaldson. Boston:G.K.
